Dry Shipping Litigation/Arbitration:

Our team’s wealth of experience in dry shipping litigation is unique. From cargo, hull, P&I, FD&D and charterers liability insurers, to ship-owners, charterers, shipyards and financiers, we represent the entire spectrum of the maritime industry. Our approach is always to help clients find cost effective solutions to their problems whether through litigation or through some form of mediation or arbitration.

Our practice within the field include: Contract of carriage of goods by sea,Forwarding disputes, Charter Party disputes, Ship Agent disputes, Vessel arresting and releasing.

Admiralty and Crisis Management:

Through our particular use of some master mariners, we are able to provide advice with an accurate and authoritative technical edge. Our casualty response teams of lawyers and mariners will render immediate service on spot in case of need. Maritime crisis management is an area of work where we have developed a pre-eminent reputation.

Our practice within the field include: Collisions, fire and explosions, General average, total loss, Salvage, towage, wreck removal and recovery, Personal injury, Damage to oil terminals, rigs and offshore structures, Pollution, environmental damage and clean up.

Marine Commercial/Ship Finance:

In this field, our team offers a full range of legal services to both international and domestic operators, owners, shipyards, financial institutions, officials and administrators, acting for both buyers and sellers throughout the world on the acquisition of new-buildings, sale and purchase for trading as scrap and the acquisition of second hand tonnage. We also have close relationship with China Shipyard Association and are familiar with either big state owned shipyards or newly developed private owned shipyards in China, and some banks as well. Hence, we will be happy to help shipyards and owners on complex financial arrangements in relation to the construction and purchase of vessels, on a wide variety of contractual issues.

We have been involved in many leading cases, and has represented both insurers, esp. leading insurance companies in China including but not limited to PICC, CPIC and Huatai Insurance and insured as well in disputes related to the various insurance contracts and its performance.
